I was hoping to do some camping on Catalina island on May 22 in Two Harbors. I know its the weekend right after the white seabass and halibut tourney. Will this tournament ruin the diving for the next weekend? Is two Harbors the right place to camp? Is there accessible kelp or should i say WSB habitat close, or do i have to rent a boat? Any ideas or do's and Dont's would be appreciated.

ok the date is set june 5, ill be stayin in two harbors sat and sun where should i look to spearfish from there?

Ship Rock, Eagle Reef, Isthmus Reef. All have some boat traffic and I strongly
recommend a flag and float. If you have a small inflatable you can dive these spots. If not, go to Dave's reef ( a pub) and look for a local spero to dive with.
Cheers, Don

aww holdin out on me! you could of atleast PM it to me i have no one to tell! Just kiddin thanks guys. Were goin for my girlfriends B day i dont know how i swung that one, what a scumbag! I told her two Harbors would be more romantic. So would a boogie board with a dive flag suffice. can i swim to those spots on the boogie.

Maybe Isthmus Reef and Bird Rock on the boogie, but definitely not Eagle Reef or Ship Rock. Those are a long way over open water.

I keep trying to find a chart of the area on line so I could show you what we are talking about, but no luck so far.

Kyle, I try to talk to someone that lives there to try to find you a ride.....
but their going to ask..... how cute is your GF?

You know I'm kidding buddy.:crutch:chatup

Cheers, Don

thanks guys for the help as far as the GF goes well she is blonde has a cute face and looks good in a bathing suit so if that helps me ill trade her for a ride. I ll post a pic as a barganing chip as soon as i can find one......
