Wow! Like Don Paul said, those big calicos are a lot harder to hunt than white sea bass. Good job.

thanks fellas ive been trying really hard to find a wsb lately and i just need to be in the right place at the right time. thanks for all the help and guidance as of late i really appreciate it. Later!

Kyle, if you have some weights for those callico bass they could be entered in the Hall of Fame. That would be a fitting end to your trip IMHO.

There are some nice WSB in the HOF, including the current featured catch. Check it out. Link in my signature.

Dave.

Those are a some fatties there Kyle! What's up with the fin rot on the single fatty pic? Did you and the mate eat all those on your own or what? Shootz, I haven't seen a Calico that big round here for years.

How bout you go back over to the island and scare them towards the mainland so everyone else can indulge. From my experience, the only spot around here I've seen lately with anything close to that size would be South Bay.

Nice job Dodd!

thanks Erik, its not fin rot i busted him in the cheek plate on the other side and it came out the top (I was Laying on the bottom and it swam above me). And yes i passed some of them off to a buddy. Great eating fish and a great bonus to a sweet trip. Hopefully we can dive soon if we can get a ride or if the red tide will go away. Peace!

I actually meant the dorsal fin. It just looked a little shredded as I have typically seen with some of the larger basses. Either way, good job.
