Cayman HF2 any reviews?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
On my HF, there are small knicks just before the muzzle on the barrel. The metal wishbone follows through and the spear has left the rail already. I am assuming the band is slowing down as in compresses, so it hits the barrel behind the shaft. I don't seem to get the scraping now either with the H.H. muzzle.

I've never noticed any noise from the track of my aluminium RA railgun.

It depends how the front of your shaft is held down: by either the shooting line or with a closed muzzle. A closed muzzle doesn't secure the shaft to the track as snugly as wrapping the shooting line over the shaft on an open muzzle. Although, it wouldn't make a huge difference, it would be noticeable.
Also, a plastic track on a small gun (75cm) makes it easier to line up the shaft while reloading. You just put the shaft in the muzzle and slide it down until it locks in. I find it a little quicker that way.

One more thing: I recently had the opportunity to try a Mares Sten pneumatic, and found that it virtually eliminated all the problems I encounter with band powered guns. Of course, there are drawbacks to loading a pneumatic (somewhat awkward to load; need to carry a spear loader), but it was very powerful and very accurate. Surprisingly, contrary to popular belief, it wasn't that noisy. The noise was comparable to hitting a rock with your shaft. Besides, the struggling fish made much more noise than the shot. Also, I found it very easy to aim, due to the custom longer shaft.

I just bought an hf2 100 for my first gun, i'm used to pneumatic mainly the mares cyrano so this gun is a nice step up from that. Its insanley light and i quite like the maneuverability for such a big gun (to my standards).

It does scratch extremely easily which does not have any negative affects with regards to performance, although is damn annoying when you just spent 260 euros on a gun.

The noise is quite an issue its caused by the spear rattling on the gun itself you sorta gotta be a lil more sneaky when movin around.

Overall its a good gun and damn is it sexy, accuracy is pretty good even though i'm still getting used to it. I thought it would be more powerful its quite a disappointment but on that note it should be fine with two bands.

Trigger is very sensitive and quiet cant complain at all there. I would say its a gamble that will pay off.

Here is my review of the 110 HF2 (non-cayman model)

pros:
smooth and strong trigger
very rigid barrel
can take stiffer bands without any problem
accurate

cons:
safety a little hard to turn on and off
handle is a little too small which makes turning horizontally slow.

what bands do you think its worth putting?

I don't know what band configuration will work for you. The stock 18mm works well, but now that I have a heavier shaft and want this to be a big fish gun I would like more power. So for me single 20mm or twin 16mm for next summer. If this is your first band gun don't worry about the bands yet. I think stock it is still powerful enough.

I feel like it doesnt have much range and takes ages to get there, I was thinking of adding a 16mm to the stock?
