Rumours of my attempt to end it all with laughing gas, have been greatly exaggerated. Yes, Bryn gave me a balloon full of the stuff. Yes, I breathed it all in. And yes, I lost whatever motor control I ever had to start with. I don't know if anyone else has ever BO'd on this before, but I think I'll leave this in future for superbikers and dentists.

Big, big thanks to Sam, not only for organising another great Xmas evening, but for putting her heart and soul into saltFree for the past 2.5 years. The results of Vodka no-limits were a draw between Bryn and Vodka Elf. ( So said Vodka Elf ).

Also had great fun at Sam's today, along with Newest Dave, Hardest Dave, Lammy Dave, Ross, Emma and Vodka Elf. Emma, I'm sorry we lost our baby, but there you go. These things happen on EFR courses.

Looks like heaps of fun - but gawd that lake looked cold! And Mark I expect a full explanation of your laughing gas BO!!!!

Well, we'll be on our way to cold England tomorrow afternoon, will be my first visit back for a year - how strange it will feel..... Next year, I'll have to try a visit that coincides with a Saltfree meet! Take care everyone, have a fab Xmas and see some of you on the 30th.....

Oh c'mon you lot!!!! He's on devil gas half his life so Devil Dave or Demonic Dave it has to be.

On the vodka no-limits ... Mr Fish decided (after heated debate), that we would toss a coin to determine who gets the title. Mr Fish, Mr Fish ... never gamble with the elf ... she's on a win / win every time. But seeing as it's Xmas I offered to share the top sunshine spot :king - and Mr. Fish had mixed his poison and was worse for wear, where as the elf stuck to the drink of kings and remained crystal.

Mume Altsaint blew himself out on a massive hit of black out gas ... and lay in a crumpled heap on the floor while Mr. Fish, Remi and I instructed him to "Breathe"! Which eventually he did - nice one Mume, I'm impressed - who needs vodka!!

And the Jedi .... has to reveal his darkest lemon shark secret trick!!!

See I was only getting started.. Fair enough the third round of black Russians might have been a bad idea... But hey.

The reason that The Elf was offred a draw by the kind Mr Fish was that she was at least 5-7 drinks behind at the end and had no hope of catching up as the party had started to fragment :hmm

I suppose history depends very much on the authors point of veiw at the time.

hey everyone else with photos - please post them!

just taken on a HUGE house from January so all the more floor space for post SaltFree homeless types AND its got a little garden with a barbecue!! AND a garage with a hose for rinsing dive kit - finally!

It overlooks the canal, not sure I'd want to eat the fish in there though.

Still choked up over being voted TOP BLOKE - but the drink has worn off - I needed to leave 'early' - the Black russian did for me.

Beth says a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for making feel right at home and putting on such a good time, lots of reassurrance that diving into cold water is safe and normal.

Had a great time, lets do it all again soon! Merry Christmas !
