For all you cold weather monfinners out there- how did you solve the sock dilemma? My experience is that unless one's foot is deep in the footpocket mobility is lost. When I wear a 3 mil sock I cannot get my foot deep enough. I was thinking about removing the rubber padding inside the Waterway pocket or maybe buying another mono one size bigger. What does everyone else do?

I solved the footpocket dilemma and am really happy about it. I slowly peeled off the two rubber pads inside each footpocket. It was laborious but well worth the effort. Now the pockets fit perfectly with 3 mil socks. In fact, the mono is more comfotable than it was before. I can no longer use it barefoot but I don't care because this fit is better and there is no more chafing of the toes. YMMV.

Hey Jimglynn

Did you performance in dynamics get better or worse after your modifikation?

Henrik

It got better because I can wear the fin longer now. Whereas before my feet started to cramp after 15 minutes, now I can easily go an hour or more really working on technique
