Colds and Coughs - magic cure

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I was just reading about ginger tea and all that - I am a fan of sage tea - I grab a bunch at the end of the summer from my folks garden and dry it - stash it in a tin and then use it either by itself or with green tea or will all three !

I find winter bugs tend to go for my throat and the sage really helps - also I think it clears my head - that and a snort of rosemary oil and the sinuses are good for a dive - I haven't tried 'olbas oil' (wintergreen/cajput/eucalyptus blend etc) before a dive as I think it would be a bit harsh but good for after diving...

I am now on long-term antibiotics (many weeks) to clear up my chest. No side effects so far... I hope it stays that way.

This is a very good thread. Now I have to try everything possible to avoid more colds and flu. I had the flu vaccine today (my arm hurts, but if it stops me getting flu it's well worth it). Ginger tea too, and I'll try and find the sage!

Also read a short article on 'black seed' or nigella sativa at the weekend.

Seems like it cures everything ! But more specifically you can crush it and inhale the smell or crush it and mix with olive oil etc etc - meant to be an ancient cure-all for everything '...except death'. For headaches / severe colds etc

I haven't used it or even seen it but if anyone knows more about it let me know...good luck with the flu Naiad.

Try a Huge Tequila Shot, with a Jalapeño pepper inside, some salt in the right hand and a sip of lemon afterwards ... It has nothing to do with the flu but at least if you dont heal you will forget about it :duh

One bit of good news - I am less prone to middle ear infections since I started learning to equalise. I think it has made the eustachian tubes easier to open. I used to get terrible earache most times that I had flu.
