Hello, everyone,
Just a quick note to let the world know of the upcoming Eastern Regional Competition in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on October 29-31, 2004, following the Performance Freediving clinics being run the week prior.

This competition is open to all CAFA members (and you don't have to be Canadian to be a member!) and will include Static Apnea, Constant Ballast and Dynamic Apnea.

The highlight of the competition will be at the famous 'Monster' quarry with a scant 300 meters of depth to play in. Visibility is very good and natural light penetrates to a depth of at least 50+ meters.

Everyone is invited! We would love to have some of the divers from south of the border come and visit. There are still some spots left, but time is running out. If you would like more information, please visit www.freedivecanada.com and register today!

For details about discount hotels, or other inquiries, post on this thread or send me an e-mail.

See you in Ottawa!

The Canadian Eastern Regional Championships here in Ottawa are two thirds complete.

The static competition saw some good performances last night with everyone coming up clean.

Today the judges, safety divers and competitors braved cold weather, strong winds, heavy rain, thunder and lightning, not to mention some pretty cold water. Considering the conditions all competitors did a great job.

Tomorrow morning is the dynamic competition and results should be up on the CAFA website before too long. Check them out at www.freedivecanada.com
