Hi! I am planning to buy Canon S95 with OEM underwater housing to shoot some videos and pictures and mount it to my speargun. I am curios about the absence of continuous AF during video on this camera. In movies the focus is fixed from the star of recording. I am not sure is it good or bad?

We are moving our spearguns so quickly, that autofocus will sometimes miss the correct object. And on the other hand, if I calculated correctly, then the widest angle (6mm) f2.0 hyperfocal distance for this camera will be around 3 meters, this means that sharpness will start at 1.5 mt. Thus, I assume it is better to avoid AF?

(there are also some rumors that s95 does support AF/optical zooming in video mode, although this feature is not documented in manual)
