i made myself a speed stringer, so much quicker and absolutly no chance of losing fish from it ill try post pics,dont get me started on knives, i love them all types got loads,like gutshot said the mares snake is a beauty used to be made by sporasub,h,desault.but still the same knife...

Just read that a young lad caught a 6lb tuna (rod and line) off praa the week before last. Not quite Bretts but definitely a sign they're around Cornwall. Will post the link tomorrow

Got in for a nice afternoon dive last night, the vis was shocking (1-2m) but still plenty around, not all on the big side but a dinner's worth. Also experimented with Slo-mo footage and was filming at 50fps and managed to edit it down to 25% of the original speed, the video shows nicely how much force there is in a 75 (with old bands in) and definately something I will be using again in the future :)

After breaking another Gopro.. and then winning another one with a video edit I did that Magicseaweed put up as Video of the Day.. I now have some new footage!!

Orange filter ? I have red filter paper on order to trial putting in as I have managed to loose the one that came with the replacement flat lens, the one I had you just drop on to the lens on the inside and then put the camera over that, sounds like you have a bit of a different set up ?

Also out of interest what video did you win the competition with ?

Had some great dives over the last week , the vis has been mixed but the lack of swell has meant I can finally dive one of my favorite north coast spots again. Fish galore.

Bagged two good sized mullet and 2 decent bass yesterday, going to hit it up for a night dive tonight.

That's bloody good hear as i finally have the opportunity to get in the water today and tomorrow and i think i'll be taking advantage of these conditions to have a few dives on my doorstep. Out on a mates boat this afternoon to a favourite north coast mark. Hope i have the same levels of succes!

I think I have the same set up.. just couldn't get the filter out one day so had to unscrew the main lens to release it.. forgot to do it up tight as I was in a rush!.. doh!

It was an edit originally put together for the Nike6.0 "Crew Comp"... bit of a piss take really.. but we all had a right laugh!! :friday

So, good northcoast dive with the Newquay boys in beautiful cornish conditions today. Multitudes of bass shoaling so much so that I could not get clear shots at the good sized ones. I ended up firing twice at decent bass at the back of the schools but missing, and once at a nice pollack also missed! Grrr! must get back on target.
Did pick up two lobies which is most satisfactory!:)

Got in today for 40 minutes over low tide, too hungover stopped early felt sick. Bleurgh. Falmouth bay is cold at low tide after rain! I wonder if this puts fish off or draws them into the rivers? Saw a dogfish, i think you could catch one by hand as they are so chilled. What is the etiquette on taking one for the table? I have eaten them before after catching them on rod and line and thought it was bloody tasty!
Vis was 2 to 4m, lots of particles in the top water. Shot a pollack and had a bigger one swim off the spear. It was a clean headshot so that was mind boggling.
No bass or mullet seen today, there is so much to learn does anyone want to have a dive tomorrow and teach me a bit pretty please? Maybe in the Helford?

What are some useful tips for good vis? Also, when the sun is out and there are particles in the water how is it best to hunt? I find i can see further with the sun behind but no doubt this will scare fish moreas you cast a big silhouette?

Cheers dude I'll check out the RnR's if I head that way. Are you at TR7 productions? I watched the season video with the Jai Paul remix about a million times and still can't get enough of it! Swell might be alright tomorrow if the wind would only go easterly. Why do we get so much bleeding north westerlies these days!

Here's a map that shows the restricted bass nursery limits within the Helford. It covers all tidal waters enclosed by a line drawn 199º true from Rosemullion head to Dennis head between 30 april and 1 january
