Saw some decent bass tonight, very spooky didn't get a shot, also huge shoal of mullet which I just watched circle me! Think the new suit helps stay hidden. Hand speared a thorny in about 6m, cooking now. 50cm wingtip span. How does one upload pics via mobile?
Well the ray was hands down the most delicious thing I've ever eaten that wasn't steak. Wings baked in foil parcels liberally covered in lightly salted butter, capers, black pepper and parsley. 20 minutes at 170, fan oven. While it cooked I made a shallot and lemon creamy sauce, blowing my own pneumatic speargun but it was an epic epic sauce to compliment the fish. Beautiful beasts, won't kill too many but boy it was delicious.

I got say that the Ray wings sounds GREAT, well worth a heap of Rep, well done sir!
Not being a cyber wiz can’t help you with the mobile picture upload but I’ll see if I can find someone that can.

Jim has been working flat out with the HSE in London for the last couple of years and has had little time for anything other than shutting down dodgy building sites:martial:blackeye hence not being on here lately.

Matt being a HSE inspector most builders would like to strangle him with that pair of tights not see him wearing them.roflrofl

Uploading mobile pix: there are a ton of ways:
Open DB on your mobile and write a post, attach the photo as always. It should be almost the same as doing it from your PC.
OR
Send the image to yourself via email and attach it through your PC
OR
Connect the mobile to your PC with a cable and the phone should show up similar to the way it does with a memory card or USB mem is inserted. Copy to your PC and upload that way.

Hi I'm heading down to Cornwall to stay with my brother towards the end of October around the 23rd. Is the spearfishing all over by then or should I bring my kit??

What type of mobile phone is it?
Here are a few idea's...
I found it easiest to email the pic to myself and then upload it from the desktop...
However my latest phone lets me upload my pics straight from the camera to facebook or flickr. From there you could put a link to them?
Finally, if you can find the image itself on your phone you could always surf this website on your phone and then upload the image directly via the "Manage Attachments" button under the "submit reply" button (as your posting).

First committed summer spearing. Few beuts. prob 15+ marks covered in the last 5 months. All cornwall west and south as based on Lizard. Only saw 2 other spearos the whole summer. Highlight was a 2lb J.DNow for the autumn..

There will still be plenty of fish about mate.
Your problem is probably going to be the weather - where are you going?
Stick to the south coast, in sheltered, east facing spots (unless the wind is coming from the east, of course).
Keep an eye on the tides and the weather, and if it's conducive to good viz you should have some jolly days out.

I'm staying near my brother in Grampound so will be around Caerheys / Portholland area, unless you can recommend somewhere better nearby? I'll have limited time so travelling far won't be an option. I don't know about you but I've noticed there are a lot less bass around the North Wales coast where I spearfish this year. Is the same true in Cornwall??

I've been in a fair bit all over the place, been quite successful on the flatty front, shot good mullet, pollack but not a single bass the whole season so far... Not even had a decent chance at one!!! Getting very frustrating!
