Cornwall 2013

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
The sea is definitely waking up. No bass yet but plenty of mullet about. weather's not looking good for this week.
 
Looks like I may be down in Truro working from Monday for a few weeks then back again a few weeks after that .I would like to meet up with any one if poss or point me towards a safe area maybe Portscatho ? Bay ?can only do eves really .Will find out tomorrow what's happening and where I'm staying fingers crossed for side side digs !Take it the weather in the last few days has mashed things up a bit tho!ta
 
This summer, me and my mate Mike (londonpolespear) will be setting up a small Wheeler-Dealer style restaurant down in prussia Cove (Bessies cove to be more precise) in the car park or campsite where we will be staying. We will be open at the end of the day so around 5 to 7 or 8 if all goes to plan. We are friendly with the guy who owns the estate so all should be "A Go". All of our fish will be speared/caught by u, and we have invested in a Hot Smoker so we will be distributing smoked mackerel to the people, I have conjured up some new exotic recipes so if your in the area, drop on by! There will be a discount for spearo's!
 
Great idea!!!!! Can't beat smoked makeral and horseradish baps after a long days diving.

Not sure if you will be able to sell the speared fish tho as its against the law to sell speared fish.....

Hi boys All packed down Truro tomorrow .staying in Chacewater so north coast may be option any idears any one where I can get in please ?PM me if you don't won't to say to much.Hope cold westerlys don't rough it up to much.Hopefully down for four or five weeks in total.ta
 
Turbot Newquay harbour....
This was in addition to a few good sized bass heads so somebody was on the money.

Should be a good practice to drop into the sea one's fishing rests !
First you feed other fish...
Second you don' t leave a sign about a good place...
 
Off to padstow next week for 1 week, can anyone recommend any good local spots ? I have a canoe to get to any further out locations!

Hi Simon, I am off for most of next week and looking for a buddy to dive/spear with. PM me if you want to meet up. I am based in Hampshire but can head down for 2 or 3 days. Oh, and I have a 3.2 sib with 10hp and a tow rope so your canoe will fly!!!

just got out south coast. portscatho way got two flatys one was 2 lbs .other half lbs .miss another .4/5 m vis out a bit 1/2 m near rocks no silver fish sighted blue sky flat sea cool tho.clean small swell coming in in sets .

Hello all, Just thought id say hello been following this forum abit lately, Nice to see a lot of people commenting and posting. New to this forum and Spear fishing started late last season, Been lucky enough to get in a few times this week! Seen a fair few mullet and pollack kicking about unfortuntly no bass so far.

Far better than I did! I was in at portholland on sunday and saw nothing appart from a tiny school of bait fish and an army of hermit crabs! The water felt much warmer than it has been though.
 
Hi I'm new to spearfishing really want to get into it I live in redruth in cornwall I wanted some one to show me the ropes any one with a bit of experience willing to help me would be much appreciated I can dive most week ends or after work hours so like 6ish I am very new to this but keen
