Are you sure it was (just) the fish she was after Huw?:chatup

Field magazine August 2006 (rock pooling for praw, crabs, lobsters & fishing for conger eels). Includes picture & brief discription for making a premium crab/lobster hook & net.

I do have to go on to say that she also took a picture of us and the spearguns rofl. !!!!! She said that it would remind her of the holiday so i agreed.

Let me know what you think, or if you have had a similar experience whilst ousr spearing on your yak!

Huw.

When i first saw the video i thought it was a guy i know. He always comes up from a dive like that.

I bet the mess in the guys suite smelled a little bad!!

Is that for real???? All credit to the guy, managing to roll back up and not bailing (but then would you want to be swimming with that thing around!!:martial

I thought you guys would like it!

Ashtro... both great clips... thanks.

Cheers,
Huw

Managed a sneaky one on Sunday at Porthmeor, hadn't fished there before but nabbed a bass on my first dive, then swam out to the point to the left but just saw pollack and wrasse, vis was okay,i thought it'd be worse after all that swell.

I had a dive on the south coast yesterday. Saw loads of bass. The only problem was the vis was so bad i couldnt really see much past the end of my gun so i couldn't line up a shot! They also kept on creaping up behind me. At one point one bass, about 4lb, was floating just above the back of my head watching me. I am sure i saw him piss himself laughing before he vanished into the milky murk. Bugger!!!

This weathers doing me in,havn't even been able to surf due to injury.:crutch
Im going spearing this weekend though come hell or high water.Been studying multi-map almost unhealthy amounts, got a few ideas for some full shelter from these bloody winds.

Managed a cheeky dive this morning on the south coast. Not too bad! 3-4 meters viz. Saw a few bass but nothing worth shooting although the mullet were pushing their luck with me!

Just had a really nice garlic fried mullet fillet with sweet chillie sauce thanks to a 3lb er. Oh and i had him just after i finished filleted a 4lb mullet who was thrown in the freezer for later.

Now, what shall i do tomorrow morning before work???

Gutshot...

great to hear that you are getting some fish at the moment! My local viz is terrible and havent been in for a good 2 weeks now so i am just itching to get wet. I even resorted to taking surfing back up!! we had some really big swell last week! I tokk a walk down to my local cove today and i think the clarity is improving and so may attempt a hunt on the weekend. I shall let you know how it goes if i do... but for now i would like you to shoot me one on my behalf rofl.

Huw

i got in this morning, same deal really, saw a few bass, mullet were asking for it too but i didn't shoot anything, saw loads of dog fish for the first time.
Finished work and shot back down this evening and managed 3 bass.Hoorah!

Well done badlander. After looking at the north coast this afternoon i am looking at diving there tomorrow. Southwest winds so it shouldn't be to bad.
