Did my first two Spearfishing dives last week and am fully loving being wet again.

In a former life I was an Extreme Exploration Cave Diver and travelled the world diving underwater caves. (laying fresh line in Bermuda was a pinnacle in my career).

If your keen on Spearfishing and in the Auckland or Coromandel get in touch [emoji4]

The freedom and change of pace is a pleasure.

Sting - there are active freediving and spearfishing clubs in Auckland. For freediving check out the Auckland Freediving Club - we train Mondays at the Tepid Baths in the city and Wednesdays at Panmure (as well as a few other times). Once daylight saving kicks in depth training is on Thursdays in Lake Pupuke. There are quite a few keep spearos in the club and we have been none to organise the occasional freediving and spearfishing trips. http://www.aucklandfreediving.co.nz/

Some of the AFC club members also belong to Blue Fins spearfishing (and others play underwater hockey and underwater rugby). We can connect you with folks in most underwater sports - those that involve breath hold at least.
