Is there a typical correlation between distance you can go underwater in a pool (horizontally) and the depth you can achieve that is a rule of thumb? (Assuming anxiety, equalization, etc are under control)

*Assuming relaxation/EQ/confidence/adaptation are all up to speed...

The correlation is still quite weak.

if you consider someone like Giorgos Panagiotakis.. He does 105m CWT (for sure he's relaxaed and confident to achieve this) but he still does 300m DYN. So thats 30% (ish) better distance.

You can also consider myself. I do 74m CWT and 120m DYN in the pool. So about 20% better performance in depth than in the pool.

Treating DYN/STA/Depth like different 'sports' is in my opinion the best way to look at your training and also the cross over between activities. They are different things.
