Costa Rica East Coast in December

Hey Guys,

My Dad wants to treat the family to a vacation to Costa Rica instead of presents under the tree this year for christmas, and I have been charged with gathering Information. Does anyone know of any hotels/resorts/anything that is good on the east coast of Costa Rica? How is the diving East coast do I bring my underwater housing? are there any good tours in the area?

I will be doing alot of reasearch and finding alot of stuff on my own but its always good to hear from you guys and find out what is actually good instead of whatever you read on the internet.

South west is better diving but this might not be what your looking for as far as a vacation!

my dad wants Caribbean but the more i research it the less the east coast seems to offer everything is so far away(the cloud forest and the volcanoes)

Of cours I recommend it.
I also worked at this dive center down the road.... Mystic Dive Center in Costa Rica offers scuba diving

I think Costa Rica is a good place for traveling and there's a lot of hotels for visitors.And they are smart enough to provide you a good tourist guide.Also you can drive frequently on their best roads.
