Hey , are you guys trying to turn this into another caption contest ?...:D
Hang in there , Sven has one lined up , no bonus points here rofl

Righto , Shadow ; mutualism at it's best . The shrimp provides and maintains their hidey-hole , but has bad eyesight ; the partnergoby does guard duty at the entrance . Shrimp won't exit hole till goby gives all clear signal with tail ,which shrimp is constantly in touch with through antennae .

maybe i was too vague

Abri, thats exactly what i said. He loves her eyes, and she likes his strong, hole digging arms :t

I think that some of the pic that have been posted here would have done well for a caption contest pic. anderson's goofy fish comes to mind

abri, i've heard that those shrimp are totally blind. very cool symbiotic relationship going on. ;)

still, i think both would be better in a gumbo. :D :p

andrsn

Andrsn , I have heard that too ; other authorities claim this is wong and my own "research" tends to support the latter .
Good luck trying to catch any , I think you will expend more energy than eating them can replace . :D

My Pets

now this is the one that has me stumped.
here are some clues
its about 10 cm long (thats 4"), it eats algae, and its got small blue and orange circles on it. please no misquoting here :naughty
it grew from nothing (came in the water change) to about 1cm when i saw it, to its current size 1 week later. :duh

extra karma for the one who can tell me what it is :thankyou :king

thanks
Mark
