I’ve got a set of Cressi Gara with plastic blades and am thinking of upgrading to carbon. I’m trying to figure out how good the Cressi carbon blades are compared to competitors. Because the Cressi blades don’t have much of an angle to them I can’t easily use other brand carbon blades. So my options are to upgrade the Cressi blades or buy new fins. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Cressi carbon blades, especially compared to others?

Hey daforg,

You can read this quite extensive test where many carbon blades (Cressi Gara Carbon among others) are compared against each other. I think you’ll get a lot out of these texts. You might have to register to read it, but it’s free and it’ll just take a minute or so...

Thank you, that answers my question pretty directly - they’re average, not the best or worst performing.
