I have a buddy that uses these fins. I cant fit them so I dont know what they're like. I want to hear some more from you folks. I am looking to switch from Picasso Black team to these. I find that my legs are much stronger and I can easily bend the hell out of these picassos.

I tried a friends Gara HF's, and found them softer then my Picasso Black Team's.....

If you find the Black Team's too soft you may have to try a Carbon fin($$$$) :(
or Omer Ice's I have read good things about them on another thread, they are quite stiff.

When you first buy them plastic fins seem quite stiff, with a good snap to them. Over time they soften up.
My Black Team's are quite old, and I found they had much better snap then the Gara's HF's.

Cheers

hmmm, a consideration. My buddy that uses them says that they are stiff, and in every description that i've read, it reads that they are "super stiff". I'm looking for stiffness without the carbon price or shatter factor.

I'm merely looking for some more opinions on this. I read the hard/soft fins thread but it didn't help much.

I actually own both Picasso Black Teams and Cressi Gara HF's. What can I say, I like black fins.

I've had the Cressis for years (very durable), but my ankles get pretty tired from all the surface swimming I do, plus the footpockets are a little narrow so I have to wear 1mm booties and my feet go numb from the cold.

The Picassos are less stiff and allow me to wear a 3mm bootie. They are a little flimsy when I start an ascent with negative bouyancy, but I'll take the trade-off for more time in the water.

If you find the Picassos too flimsy, you'll probably be happy with the Cressis as long as they fit your feet. The blade on the Cressis also has a lot more 'snap', not that you can tell underwater.

The Omer Millenium Comps are supposed to be pretty stiff, too. However, Omer footpockets don't fit me at all so I haven't tried them.
