Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
For me it's a toss-up. I really like both these masks. Both are quite comfortable.

I actually bought the matrix without trying it - I tried a bigeyes and a Horizon. The bigeyes wouldn't seal - the horizon did but has too much volume and not that good a field. The online place I called said there was a new cressi out called the matrix and the guy tried it on on the phone - hilarious - I could hear his voice get that nasal quality. He told me it was sorta between the horizon and the bigeyes fit-wise :) Returning it would be no prob. Ended up giving that one to a friend - clear silicone drove me nuts with those big lenses - and ordered a black one from spearfishinggear.com

The Alien is really a very nice fitting mask. It won't match the matrix field but it's as close as you can get to a safe bet fit-wise. and, like I said - compresses better. I've also wondered about the Omer Exsite - looks like it might have as good a field as the Matrix.
