Custom Freediving Fins

Hey everyone,

New to the forum — my name is Marti. I'm a freediver, spearfisher, and marine biologist with a serious obsession for fish... and apparently, unusual feet.

I have slim and narrow feet, especially over the instep. Most footpockets I’ve tried (including C4 300, CETMA S-Wing, Pathos) are too wide, too boxy and symmetrical — they just don’t follow the natural asymmetry of a left and right foot (WHY NOT? ). Socks don't help, as they are filling up space everywhere equally and hence also take away length and toe room.

What I'm looking for:
– A footpocket or fin that fits narrow, low-volume feet, but leaves room for the big toe
– Ideally something custom, thermo-formable, or truly anatomical
– I'm open to hybrid solutions or modding if needed

I've tried reaching Specialfins and Xfins, but their sites seem offline — are they still active? Are there any current brands or makers doing true custom footpockets?

Appreciate any leads, especially from fellow female or skinny-footed divers

Each manufacturer is going to be a little different, look at Cressi, I noticed my Gara fins were narrower than most other fins but not sure what the rest of their line looks like.

French Beuchat footpockets are generally reckoned to be well suited to narrow feet

Although, ironically, I have wide, stocky feet and have used mine happily for more than a decade (I even bought a spare pair more recently!). "The exception that proves the rule"?

Yes, I recall hearing Cressi fins fit narrow feet.

I think Omers were said to suit wider feet(?).
