Dahab in August

Hi All

I'm heading up to Dahab in August. It's going to be my first time visiting the Mecca of Freediving and I could do with some advice.

Can anyone recommend cheap but decent single en-suite accommodation? Preferably somewhere near to the freediving operations like FreeDiveDahab and Desert Divers.

Any other tips and advice... like don't buy expensive tins of desert honey from dodgy dudes on the side of the road because it is actually just syrup?
