Hey Freedivers,

The audio freediving computer + music player I've been working on is finally live on Kickstarter! I had a lot of help from the community during testing and want to thank you all.

As always, if you have any questions or feedback please let me know.

I have a question - does your device say a current time? Because if it does not - one must have a waterproof wristwatch to know the current time. All wristwatch dive computers can tel the current time. Also this thing of yours is a bit bulky to shove it under the hood. What is interesting that many years ago (35 or so) my father designed a waterproof chirping device for swimmers that would be kept over an ear under a swimming cap. It would emit different sounds and number of them for an interval training so a swimmer would not have to watch the timer. It was rather difficult to make it small/waterproof given the state of technology in the USSR. Also it would give only rough time measurements. So it is nice to see such a technological progress!

"does your device say a current time"

Yep it can be set to say the time of day with the press of a button or on an interval.

"Also this thing of yours is a bit bulky to shove it under the hood"

I've done a lot of testing with the device and haven't had complaints about comfort, I think if you tried it you wouldn't be too worried about comfort. There is also a mask clip as well.

"What is interesting that many years ago (35 or so) my father designed a waterproof chirping device for swimmers"

This is very cool, do you have any new articles or ads on it from then? Sounds like a cool bit of tech from the past

Good, you covered all the basics. As far as my fathers 'invention' - it was completely home-made and existed in one sample. You are a young man and have no idea about the conditions in the USSR 40 years ago. Most parts - transistors, resistors, etc. had to be stolen from factories or purchased on black market (stolen goods as well) since nothing was sold in stores. That thing was very crude and you had to count 1- second chirps after a 5-second chirp after a 10-second chirp (...) to know your time. Awkward but better than nothing.
