We are in process of opening up our very first Dive Center catering exclusively to Four Seasons guests and we are looking for the Dive Center team starting with the Dive Center Manager. Position Requirements

  • Has 3-4 years of relevant experience in dive center operations
  • Possesses aptitude, management skills and upward mobility
  • Possesses excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
  • Possesses business acumen, well developed guest engagement skills and personal flair
  • Holds PADI IDC Staff Instructor level or higher certification



Dive Center Manager – Major Responsibilities

General


  1. Builds a motivated and skilled dive center team, leads by example and instills a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programs
  2. Actively plans and manages the career development of every employee through effective coaching, training and by instilling company values; is concerned for employees’ continuous development and personal growth
  3. Organizes and manages the department in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals; promotes harmony between departments
  4. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule
  5. Demonstrates standards awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals
  6. Prepares annual plans and forecasts, consistently monitors and manages budgetary goals
Departmental

  1. Conceptualises and implements fun and entertaining diving activities and excursions for guests of all ages and cultural backgrounds, in keeping with the resort environment and the company’s style
  2. Implements and ensures adherence to all PADI and Four Seasons Dive Standards; ensures highest levels of diving safety for guests and staff.
  3. Ensures the resort’s Dive offering remains current and in keeping with customer expectations
  4. Maximises Dive retail sales by ensuring current product lines and optimized stock levels
  5. Coordinates with Marine Biology consultants in view of integrating marine biology into the guest experience
  6. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of VIP’s, return guests, groups, etc. Schedules staff accordingly to ensure proper coverage due to business demands
  7. Takes initiative and ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur; exceeds expectations
  8. Promotes the maintenance of guest preference records (Guest History) and the creation of individual and personalized holiday experiences
  9. Works towards achieving and exceeding budgeted revenues. Monitors sales and financial targets. Promotes and upsells excursions to guests, customizing where necessary to meet or exceed guest expectations and create memories
Dive Center Manager – Specific Responsibilities and Tasks

General



1. Maintains an organized administration of departmental and personnel records, including rostering and leave planning
2. Ensures employees adhere to the code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards as specified in the employee handbook
3. Conducts daily briefing and monthly departmental meeting (with minutes copied to division head) and participates in meetings when invited
4. Provides regular and fair performance feedback to employees, formally and informally as appropriate
5. Is seen as a hands-on leader, assists employees in crunch times; Walks the talk
6. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures tools & equipment are well maintained and in sufficient supply
7. Promotes and ensures a safe working environment
8. Performs any additional duties as assigned

Departmental


1. Keeps abreast of current dive equipment, retail products, trends and technologies
2. Where appropriate, personally escorts guests on dive excursions
3. Actively ensures the skills and knowledge development of the department’s employees with regards to Retail Sales, the marine environment and Padi qualifications
4. Liaises with the Recreation department to ensure seamless guest experiences
5. Ensures boat safety procedures are adhered to at all times
6. Systematically conducts standard tests during shifts
7. Assist other departments as required in resolving problems, crunch assistance, handles guest problems and complaints, keeps management well-informed via Glitch Recovery Program
