The way the program works is quite informal. We do not have set hours or a set schedule. Pretty much you become part of the team. When other clients come in and sign up for classes, you just join in. On most of the days there aren't courses you go out and learn the sites and perfect your bouyancy and navigational skills.
In a sense, you will eventually take on the duties of a divemaster. The work is just helping out on the boats and with the clients. You are no longer a client, but a member of the staff while out of the water. In the water for the beginning, depending on your skill level, you will be with a divemaster as he guides other clients.
Eventually, you will actually lead your own dives. After diving you will help us to clean the gear, fix equipment and fill tanks.
We all work from 9 to 5, 6 days a week. Housing is up to you. We will help you find a place, but the price range and ammenities you desire is in your hands. You pay half price for all the courses you need to achieve the Divemaster level, and through the duties mentioned above, in turn work off the other half. It is a really easy going program for those who want to experience all a dive center has to offer!
