Diver Rescue - more Tsunami photos

Some guys decided to go diving AFTER the Tsunami, and had to be rescued.
Not a good idea!

These photos were taken from the inside reef... from another resort in Maldives. One of our guys was there at time... and took pictures.

Someone saw the safety balloon.. well away from the diving dhoni. The diving dhoni was at least 300m away at the time, and couldn't see the SMB. Then someone tried to get to them over the reef using a dinghy, and swimming out to them.

the dive centre was alerted, and speedboats were sent out. however, it was too rough to get close to the divers... so they had to bring them in over the reef.

it took 3 HOURS to get them in.. see these photos...

You know there are some idiots in this world! AFTER THE TSUNAMI??? Why dont we have a suitable smiley for that?
I heard the only people who got killed in Colombo wher 4 idiots who heard that a tsunami was coming up the coast and decided to go and swim in it!

The back of the dingy is what got me. Looks like they cut a hole in the back of the boat and shoved an outboard through it.
