diving in ecuador

hello, my name is nick and I will be going to Ecuador from the 1st of august to the 14 and i will be staying in portoviejo and the a place on the beach about half an hour from there or so. I was wondering if anybody has been in that area or knows any good spots to go.... I will be willing to show anybody a good time and offer my friends place on the beach to chill. thanks

If you have the chance organise a trip to Galapagos islands from Quito, there can be some bargains, the marinelife is superb and unique....

Sorry dont know the coast so well, was there years ago.
