Attached is my first stab at a Sit on top Spearo boat. It is very preliminary. What I have mainly worked on at this stage is the stability and bouyancy envelope, and so have worked out the basic dimensions of what I feel would be the bare minimum size for a Spearo boat. Also, I do not like the transom at this stage. It needs to be reworked to have more of a canoe stern as low speed resistance is badly affected by this type of transom. I have various ideas for a layout and seat assembly, but have not shown this yet, merely indicating where the paddler will go. So far, construction is intended for stitch and glue ply for ease of home build with typical diy tools. It is fairly wide and flat, so she should double as a good surf boat too!
