been recently thinking about some kind of bookkeeping or little diary of my dives. Maybe I will spot some pattern, sort of what makes a good day of diving or what ruins it all. Like water temperatures or sleep pattern - I honestly don't know what to keep a track of. Anybody does anything like that?

I have kept detailed journals since 1994. My huge pile of journals is my most prized possession, in fact probably the only possession of any importance.

These journals list what I did, what I ate, how I felt, when I slept, as well as athletic performance logs including dive logs and so on. It is a huge amount of work and in recent years I have been less diligent, but it is very interesting to go back 10 years and look at my dive logs and comments.
