I have read loads of hype recently about stingrays since Steve Irwin's incident (R.I.P.)... I have also heard that on some hotels here in Dubai they sent out staff to kill any of the rays hanging out in the sand to avoid injury to the guests :rcard

Stingrays are not as bad as their reputation - a few weeks ago I saw some friendly ones in a public aquarium and I stroked one. (Probably not allowed, but...)

I heard that the Indian fishermen likes this fish !!!!
it helps them allot when they are lonely in the sea.... when they catch one they put it in the sun for couple of hours to match the body temp. then he takes it and go one to one with it. it differently have a tight smooth hole.

(I heard this story from an old fisherman who used to pearl hunt in the past)

Ps. Don't forget to cut the tail and remove the thorn, if you like the idea!!!rofl
