By the way, am I allowed to start this thread or is it only done by forum mods?

To late you've Done it now!Well done hope you get out for your night dive see if you can get the first new year fish? I take it conditions are good down your way wish it was up here?

Who has the superpowers necessary to make this a 'sticky' thread?

What a weird sentence.

Well as always I'm up for it! Looks as if I'm going to have plenty of time on my hands over the next 2 weeks or so. Winds are staying from the west quadrant, so the usual sheltered spots should hold vis.

Low is at 17:30 tomorrow, so was thinking of hitting the water at 18:00 for a couple of hours of the flooding tide. Anyone? Tom/nobby give me a call if you fancy it. Looks as if the winds picking up to gales on Tuesday, then not dropping significantly till next Sunday.

Me me me, I'll bring some cheddar valley and mullet, maybe some pork scratchings!

What do you reckon to the venue? Maybe an overnighter on the beach?

ME TOO! That sounds great. An overnighter on the beach sounds really really good. Don't care where, so long as there's visibility and fish.

Right oh, a bit of a do on the beach then.
Any particular beach in mind fella’s?
A couple of years back we had a get together in the car park at Castle Town and a few people camped overnight after, just a thought?
Beer, BBQ and then more beer:friday:friday? That sound about right?:D

Yeah it was only me and my Dad that camped, if we can try and get a few more campers maybe somewhere with a good pub nearby then me and my Dad would be up for it again..! ;-)

Had a nice night dive with Nobby, Lee and Matt, and came home with four nice flatties - smallest is 34cm, biggest is 40cm. Nobby got a lovely big 2lb plaice - see 2011 thread for the pic (it's 2012 now Nobby) ;)

Water surprisingly warm - we were in for 2 hours and I definitely could have done the same again.

Looking forward to the next one already...

Yeah was a great dive. Nice to meet you matt.
Great catch on those flat ties guys, now I wish I'd nailed that 5lb plaice and 4 lb sole, but was side tracked when I saw that 7 lb silver bar: didn't get a shot off as I was still waiting for my 14 lb bass!!! Serious though well done on those flat boys; I only saw Pringles and about 10 fish around the 6-10 inch range. Looking forward to getting in again before the weeks out.

Nice flatties guys. Well done.

Happy New Year to all of you. Loots of fish and nice safe dives:friday

Spearolee, me and my friends are using this fins for couple of years now and they are really good. They are not 100% carbon but they working really good and you can really fell the difference between these and plastic fins, these are more efficiente. Very comfortable with OMER foot pockets. I do not care much for them and keep them always in my cars boot under other equipment and nothing happened to them.
I’m using the hard stiffness with no comu – black.
