Night dive with will wasn't amazing. We saw a few little Bass, and missed a 4lber. Also saw a couple of small flatties and an eel. Vis was around 6m out a bit but less than 1m in close. In the end we came back with 3 run of the mill bass between us
Got in last night even after the blowy weather, swimming through the eel grass the vis was good just off shore. The wind had died and the moon was out, it was nice expected for the Jet bikes hammering about just beyond the Moorings with no nav lights of course! Small bass here and there, then swam over the eel grass to where it meet bladder rack and some stones. There sat a shoal of bass, zipping around. Broke surface and landed just short, they spooked and I had to guess the shot. Took a nice 5lb bass straight through the gill plate, but hearing the jet skis running around in the dark was enough to put me off. Think I am Going back to early mornings and dusk for hunting, much more on offer around then.

My dive went fairly well in S Devon went OK ended with a good few bass ul to 5 lb some mullet, pollack and a huss.
Both night and day dives.
Hell that's a good looking Huss and i can't say i've seen a bass over about 3lb so far this year so nicely done Wolf.
I managed to get out this morning for a couple of hours in what was surprisingly very good vis, so much so i immediately realised i could have done with bringing a bigger gun. Still they were at home so i pushed on.
As the tide turned the vis reduced which was exactly what i needed. The session resulted in a good Mullet of 4.13lb and a 2lb flounder.
I saw a number of flounders and missed a couple of what should have been easy shots on large mullet, one shot even bounced off due to the limited power of the 55cm i was using. Still i'm set for dinner!

Glad to hear that you guys have been getting some diving in back here.

Hit it last night with nobby vis was OK at 3 meters not many fish about. I ended with 2 tub gurnards, 3 bass, a fat flounder, 2 jumbo squid, a nice 2lb sole and a gilt head albeit a small one. Not the best night, but still enjoyed myself.
Lots of black bream about mostly to small. I did miss a sizeable loaner,,,,,,damn!
Nobby had a nice bass, but looked like it had HIV so he threw it back to be on the safe side.

I dont think it is likely to be a lemon shark or bull shark, it might possibly be one though!

Unfortunately it wasn't my photo. It was a mates cousin who took the pic. So I don't know if there are any more pics. I will ask to try find out for you
Not the best night?!?!?! I'd be running around waving my arms in the air, screaming with joy and telling everyone I was the best spearo in the UK and that my work was worthy of a gold medal.

Not many fish about !!!I couldn't get that many fish in asda what do you won't from life a bloody mermaid .Try not to depress us mere mortals to much! You got more fish in one eve than most of us get in a year !!!! Just cos you've an aquarium on site don't rub it in!Fantastic catch.Send them north please.
Lol, it was a nice dive. Usually I see shoals of 15 or more bass 2-5lb range every 100 yards or so at this spot; and can usually pick off the better fish from each.
Swim far, cover a large area and stealth with no sudden movements and dont forget to take the torch of them bass when u pick one out; winner for me. Saying that swimming 4 miles for 6 hours straight in heavy stiff plastic cracked fins is no fun........but thanks to joe ickledevil i have carbons back!!!!
