Ouch!! My mate came off his bike and hit the collar bone on the kerb. He separated the medial end of the clavicle from his sternum. It was sticking out 2 inches and it has had to be fixed back down with a plate which he has to have in for another 6 months to let the ligaments etc heal and rejoin it... He still can't raise his arm above his shoulder or drive, or pretty much anything! Sucks doesn't it? I'll let you know if he gets any exercises.. ;)

One thing I can recommend if you can afford it, is to go to your local Chinese doctor and get electro accupuncture. Basically they stick needles into the site of pain and damage then plug them into the mains.:hungover It then feels like someone is trickling water over the area. This affects the nerves and relieves the pain but also promotes circulation in the area and thus healing. It does work and got me walking again a few weeks after the injury.

Seems the entire dorset dive contingent are land locked.. not been in myself for a few weeks, combination of work, weather and family visits away from the sea.. oh well time will come I have a week just outside of Looe booked with the family from next fri so intending to spend some quality time in the water! Goint to likely be my last chance for regular diving this year as I start a course on Monday for week.. Birmingham every other week for the rest of the year is sure to dent my prospects!!
Toying with a dip this afternoon but the wind and few recent reports are seeing me currently planted on the sofa awaiting a kick up the backside!

Not spearfishing I know, but I went out on my little boat from Eype this morning and spent a couple of hours catching the usual mackerel... but with 3 nice bass thrown in for good measure (had to put one back as it was just a little undersize)! They all fell to silver tinselly feathers, two of them on one rod and one on the other, all at the same time! A nice surprise. :)

They weighed in at 2.5lb and 3lb.

My Boy is so happy, just got a nice cressi geronimo and now a great suit. Guess its better fins for him next, santa will cover that!!! He has had some nice pollock and a big bull huss, Almost bagged his first Bass tonight of the bill, had to make do with a Guinness extra cold in the pub instead. Thank you to Kev for his fantastic offer, hope to pay it on or back sometime!!!

Staying in briport for a few days.

No vis at all down this way guys! Grey dush water from west bay - lyme. Bummer. Was flst calm like a mill pond at lyme last night, waded in up yo my knees and couldnt see my feet. West bay end was chocolate brown with a fsir wind swell running.

Any chance for a vis report from you guys at the other end - purbeck to portland? Cheers

Lee

Good haul there, with some bonus bass.
I love a bit of mackerel.

Just want to say Hi from a newbie to the forum.

I live in Poole and have been spearfishing for around 3 months now with not much luck in the Poole area (Groins and Training bank) The vis has been terrible.

I did score a nice big mullet at Durdle door Sunday though.

If any of you guys would like to share any info or would like a dive buddy then let me know.

Cheers Karl
