They are incredibly powerful fish... just imagine what the Norwegian record pollack must have felt like... all 12.2 kilos of it! Only regular species I can think that fights harder is a coalie of same size, they are proper psycho.

Cisco_kid -- Yes we saw you emerging with your bag of goodies! We didn't fair much better than you, two got a few nice pollack and one (me) came home with nothing.. Although I did see a nice red mullet in the distance. I thought the vis wasn't too bad in the Cove, good hunting conditions - it did get very bad towards Tarr Rocks.. Here's to next time---

That reminds me...
A week or so ago, I was down my local spot off the south east side of Portland. I saw the biggest fish i'd ever seen in the area..I havent a clue what it was, as this vis at the time wasnt to great. But it was very shiney(tuna shiney).
Any ideas what it could of been?
