Hey all, good news! The doc has given me the go ahead to start diving again...wohoo! See you dorset boys on the beach!

Fear glad your back up and running.
Good luck with the whiting and bass Sir Flyflicker,
And Glowworm nice dog they make really good working dogs any plans in that direction, oh and how’s yer back?

Greetings all....John, nice new best friend you got there....like Podge says train him up and get yourself back into some winter birds!
Fearthespear...good on you...my NHS consultant said he would arrange my treatment ASAP...it's been 3 months:head
James....I will try put something up for my fish curry later...
:wave

Hay Brett what’s up with you then to be kept waiting for 3 months? :rcard nothing to bad I hope.

Hey podge my back is OK now.I will get a back weight for the summer to take the pressure off my waist.

The dog starts obedience training next week and gun dog training with a local shoot in march.I might even think about shooting again myself if it goes well.

John well done with the back let me know how you get on with the back weight I wouldn’t mind trying one myself.
As for your dog it’ll do just fine I’ve not known very many Weimaraner’s that don’t make the grade.

Greeting all.

Haven't posted on your new thread yet so thought I'd do so with a taster of Channel Island fishing at present. A 10+lb mullet rod caught this week in Alderney.

Belated happy new year.

That’s a beauty Dave, puts me in the mood to start mixing the butter with the parsley ready for the spring.

Not to bad...they are going to enlarge open up one of my sinuses a bit more to prevent some of the issues I have been having with squeels and pain etc. on just one side. Tried a 12 gauge cartridge to my head but the shot just bounced off....:t rofl

P.S Nice mullet OMD!

Sweet Jesus, Old Man, rod or spear that's a fish! It's a Golden, isn't it?
I second Podge on butter and parsley. And a little garlic.
-
PS: is that you shaved in the pic?

I’ve heard you SA boys have got some hard heads but that must be one hell of a blocked snout!!!!!!!rofl rofl
All the best with it any how and if you need a bigger cartridge then I’ve got one that’ll do the job.

Podge i think we would have to take Surfnspear to Bovington tank ranges and let the challanger 2's clear that snout rofl rofl

Wow that is a super big mullet don't see too many of those around.

Went out boat fishing off Portland yesterday to catch some whiting - but we ended up with a nice bag of bass. It was a feeding frenzy out there, birds and fish all having a go - it was a good day and tonight I have fresh bass for dinner Don't worry we didn't empty the sea, there were 6 anglers and around 18 bass kept, but many, many more caught...

Yeh, I was one of the six and it was really nice to see that much going on in Feb. I think we must have caught over 50 bass, averaging about 2.5 lbs with the ones kept obviously making up the top end. It was nice that the charter skipper had a ruler on board that was at our disposal. We also caught dab, mackerel, pout, and doggies. Looking forward to the vis clearing up and spending some time in the water rather than on it though....

The Guy who caught the thick lip- name is Martin Larkin (Dorset chap I think) holds the shore caught conger record, he has appeared on fishing programs every now & then. Interestingly that is not his biggest mullet, he had a slightly bigger one last year in Alderney.

What you need John is one of these.......

Sits back and waits to be banned from the forum for unashamedly touting his wares.:naughty
