made the trip down from bristol last night and met up with flyflicker first stop viz was pants so we moved around the bay and viz was much improved 4-5m. loads of life out on the sand, we were in for around 1.5 hours three us caught 4flounder, 2plaice and i had a nice sole1lb 9oz! thanks flyflicker well have to do it again soon

No fish for me today! Just as well really as I was getting a bit tired of Flatfish.. 0930 start and a nice easy swim and dive with Coops and GW. Coops murdered a flounder and missed another one as the gun that he bought off me Jammed! Sorry about that..

Anyway Gloworm landed a nice 10lb!? plaice ( Just estimating the weight from the pic!!! ) :t

Bring on the the Night.

Another great dive in good company.Spent most of the first hour struggling to find any sand.Soon found it and started looking.Found a few small shellfish but not much else happening.Had a much more relaxing dive and my bottom times and depth felt good.Did see a red gurnard on one dive walking along the bottom on his strange beard like fins.Although gurnard are on my list he wasn't that big so i just watched.Still very cool:cool:

Not long after my mouthpiece detached from my snorkel which was a nasty shock. After this i found my plaice and was happy.

Brynns D4 is a spanking piece of kit....Dear Santa i have been good this year:)

Nice fish fatty well done :):):)
I'd rep you up but i've got to spread the love a bit first.

As said by Glow(give your bad joo joo to someone else)worm and Almostafish
Nice dive today, even with a Benny Hill moment in the middle trying to chase fish, long story and slow typing will leave that for another day.
Vis started by looking bad, but ended slightly better than not very good.
Nice to see that flattie John had, thats what t expect when carma is shared.
Thanks gents, great company.
Have a good one over the weekend with the Dorset Special Needs Team.
Speak Soon

The force is strong in you young John - another fine plaice to add to your rep :)

Hope the vis lasts for the Saturday Night Dive (there's a few too choose from in Weymouth!) and hope you see the diddy thornbacks and crabs with attitude - have fun :)

Can you believe what I pulled out of a hole at Sandbanks!!?! Lovely flat conditions with good viz and not a lot of tide and I felt comfortable enough in the water to get some good (for me) dive times. I was exploring along the base of the boulder wall in about 8m and I came across this guy! He tipped the scales at 1.35kg. Whaddya think of my first lobster?!! :):):):):):)

well done mishish havent seen one of those for while! wheres the reports from the dorset window lickers?

Lol! I have been on cloud 9 all day because of that lobster - cheesy grin and everything! Beginners luck huh? Cheers guys.

Hey guys, nice catches! Sorry I haven't been on in a while - been lurking but haven't had much to report to due work / baby etc etc.

Managed to squeak a very quick chilly dip in this afternoon in t'harbour and came home with a shellfish theme for supper...21 unmentionables in all not bad work for an hour!! Crab was buried in the mud - thought it was 'one of them there things that I didn't find a lot of' at first, in the poor light (damn it's getting dark early now!).

Hope everyone's well. Gotta get me a torch and get out in the dark, seems like I'm missing a trick on these night dives...

Got down to Weymouth around 7.00pm on Saturday night to meet Bryn and Jim, I’ll tell you what peeps it’s a bit chilly getting changed now.
Jumped in and while Jim and myself stayed relatively shallow Mr Fish disappeared out into the gloom.
Saw heaps of tiny but absolutely perfect flatfish Plaice, Flounder and Sole, I was down under playing with a tiny Sole when I spotted a real sized one but hit him on the edge on his fin and after going mental he slipped the spear and was gone in a huge puff of sand Jim beaded up on a nice Squid but didn’t shoot it and ended up with 3 nice Flounder, I came out with 2 Flounder and a John Dory and Definitelyafish swept back in with a bucket full of Scallops 3 monster Flounder and a bloody great Plaice.
Great dive as ever and a few drinks after, good weekend all in all even if we didn’t get in today as the weather had closed in.
Maybe next weekend Gents?

Well done Mishnish on the Lobby and Milkman they look nice.:):)
