me... I'm still house bound..... at least the wind is up saving some bass for me later ... this kid is taking an age to appear! like holding your breath at 30mtrs waiting for the big one to appear, but that is less frustrating than this!

both my boys were early, so this one MUST be a girl as it's taking so piggin long... probably making sure it's hair is OK before making an appearance ha ha ha...

Good to see Bryn and his good lady enjoying a meal before he heads back out to sea. I can't fault on the location, but a takeaway KFC - come on!!

Vis was awful, but OK for sniffing a bass out. I went just where I said I was going Bryn, I reached the furtherest spot and down - in they came and even I couldn't miss - got two in about four dives and decided that was enough, so in to buy some white wine to wash them down with!

Wind looks like it is brewing for Sunday, so I will pop along to the cafe, but I suspect no room in the crash & burn - no problem I seem to be doing OK from the shore!!!

Here's a strange one...anyone lost a rib near Hengistbury Head? My brother found it a little while ago with nose punctured and beached. Police and coastguard in attendance now as the issue is whether someone has indeed gone overboard etc. etc. or it's slipped a mooring. There is no anchor out, rope to shore...Hopefully nobody has come to harm but mmmm, lost property claim....

has anyone ever bought any kit from decathlon? Ive just checked their website and they have a whole section on freediving/spearfishing and the prices seem pretty good. Just wondered if anyone has ever bought their stuff and what they thought of the quality.

Although Decathlon is french it is very popular in Spain,I don't think is very good quality but certainly is cheap.It is worthy on sales as they flog items that they are not intending to replace in that particular shop ,I bought a great floater ,big,comfy ,lots of pockets for 30 euros in 1 of the shops in Madrid ,I though was a great buy.I think for small things,spares,socks,gloves... it could be interesting.

I found a really nice 18' Dory washed up inside Christchurch harbour late last year following a storm and prompty salvaged it. It wasn't damaged and the insurance company wanted it back so all I got was a nice cheque for securing it and looking after it...
