By alkaline blood I mean having lots of bicarbonate in it, like in your study. Acidic is the opposite (obviously )

I read some of it here on DB and the rest in the Journal of Applied Physics (searching for medical papers) but like I said... I probably came to the wrong conclusion. My memory is a shocker.

Hey where did you find a yogi?
 
A guy on the masters degree at my university is a yoga instructor. I'm not au fait with yoga terminology but I'm assuming that's what a yogi is? Or is a yogi more advanced than a lowly instructor?

I don't know if you came to the wrong conclusion or not. So much research contradicts other research depending on the methods used and the experimenter etc...

This has been cool and I hope people will continue to provide input to this thread!

Too bad neither you or I had $$ or equipment to carry out testing for brain activity... would have been interesting to see if the Yogi just shut his system down hence the higher PaO2 then the Freedivers...

he has some little trick up his sleeve!
