Well, one option was good enough for me - I took the last one - I do some short empty lungs breath-holds, just to squeze the spleen a bit. Well, it could be related also with the 3rd option (hypoxic tolerance), and perhaps some psychological help too. Though in fact not too much of help psychologically, because I usually give up pretty soon, which scares me more than it assures me. But then again, it may in fact help, because I get into the panic mode, telling myself I will never reach my goal with such a bad preparation BH, which in return kicks in the diving response quicker, and finally the result is not that bad.

Other: Don't know. I guess a mixture of "Increased tolerance of CO", "Increased tolerance of low O2", "Psychological preparation" and "Augmented dive response"...

Other:

Later contractions (disbenefit)
Weaker dive response (disbenefit)
Decreased lactate accumulation (disbenefit)
Decreased tolerance of low O2 (disbenefit)

Hi! Sometimes I try to do some dry sta. befor dynamic. I think it can help with contractions, that after the static results less painfull but I don't like to do it before a maximum dive..
