Dry vs. Wet

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I read somewhere that the average person can do 1 minute more dry than wet but for me that is not the case.
Mine are pretty similar dry or wet but I think I give up too easily doing them dry as I'm usually on my own then and don't really wanna black out on the sofa even if it is harmless!

wait a minute

I thought that it was just the opposite. I can only hold my breath for a dry static of 3" min but in the water it is nearly doubled. As I have come to understand the breath hold is increased by the mamilian dive reflex. Thus it would seem that dry statics would generally be shorter than wet statics, no?

hi

Yep I find dry statics to be about a minute longer then wet statics.

cheers
