Hi,
Anyone have experienced gains in static apnea
by ONLY training dynamics (both hipoxic and hypercapnic)? Or anyone have noticed the reverse effect?
Static training is becoming too.... boring hehe

Cheers,

Not a direct response, but my $0.02 is that freediving is not about static apnea, so having solid dynamics is a necessity for well-rounded diving.

Also, hitting a new milestone in one area usually gives a heightened sense of possibility in other areas, so improving in dynamics is bound to at least make you more motivated to go farther in statics.

I agree with Pezman's way of thinking.
Beside that, to answer you're question spesifically, Bevan Dewar told me he got amazing resualts from training only apnea walking (I think only full lungs - hypercapnic), without doing any static or diving for a few months.
