AND PLEASE DOES CHLORINE IN THE AIR EFFECT YOU LUNGS?! this is what I really wanted to know... aka I would like to know a doctors or respritory nurses opinion... not just anyone
My only advice on this is to make an appointment with a "doctor or respiratory nurse" then. If you didn't want "just anyone's" opinion, then why are you asking here?
Connor, any tips on safe ways to improve DR and O2 consumption in the pool. I too train alone and am have to control the temptation to do 'just-a-but-more...'
At present I do:
1. Techniquie swims, less than 25m focussing on one or two really good strokes
2. Dolphin no fins as we're not allowed to wear fins :-(
3. Duck dives
4. EQ no hands down to 3m (woohoo) to work on BTV
5. Fast swims followed by dry statics OUT OF THE POOL
6. Crawl breathing every 3rd stroke, then 5th, then 7th, 5th & 3rd again
