It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Agreed! I'm going to make a few calls over this weekend and get some proper facts and figures for everyone. Will post Sun. Have a great w/e all.

i'm also really interested if it's not too late.............

sounds like there's gonna be enough people for 2 or 3 trips.

OK guys,

Sorry for the radio silence on this recently. I've had a chat with Ian's dad, Graham, who was really helpful and friendly and here's the info:

Boat is 45ft licensed for 12 passengers. There's plenty of room, inside space, tea and coffee etc. Sounds great. The day's charter is £400 which works out at about £35 each. He's pretty flexible on the times we launch and get back, so that's up for discussion. At the mo we have easily enough to fill the boat, maybe even go twice on different trips! He reckoned that neap tides in June or September would be the best times to go.

Graham had a few really good points to bear in mind:

1. With a lot of spearos on the boat, it might be a good idea to fish in groups of 3/4, coming out for breaks and taking it in turns. There are also a few different sites on the rocks so we could split into groups and dive different spots.
2. He reckoned we should seriously look at going on a week day - weekends, esp. sunny weekends attract too many recreational anglers.
3. He suggested towing a small rib out with us, so we could access spots and drifting divers quickly - he can sort this out for us.
4. He's more than happy to take us to a shore spot on the way back in as well so we could make a great day out of it.

If you don't mind all, I think at this point it'd be good to take the discussion OFFLINE so to speak, so if anyone interested could PM me their e-mail address, I can copy everyone in and we can start fixing dates and final numbers...

Cheers guys,

Rick
