Hey I do equalize hands-free and I dnt know really how it just comes naturally 
and every1 arounds ask me how i do so... It's just that i kind of feel like im tensing the soft palate and then i hear a click in my ears and its equalized (and any1 getting next to my ears will hear it as well)... actually that helps me a lot since i dnt have to squeeze my nose to equalize especially when doing constant weights and starting the free-fall phase...
