The other day i had been free diving for about two hours at a depth of about 50 feet. We decide to go to deeper water so we got on our kayaks and headed for deeper water. When I tryed to dive down i got this presure/burning sensation on the side of my nose at about 50 feet. Can you tell me what happened?

It was probably a sinus squeeze - the sinus got blocked and could not equalize itself, so the negative pressure caused the pain. I have had this at only 2 metres if my sinuses are blocked.

Maybe someone can explain better.

Lucia
