My loader, for my Cannon!
Because of problem's I'm having with my computer, photo's of this loader, are under, ADRIAN'S post.
Well, I don't know what happened to my last post, it must have got lost in "Cyber Space". So, again, thank,s ADRIAN, & yes, you put them in the right order. Also, thank,s to PASTOR, for offering to post my pic's, as well.
OK, you'll notice that the spear shaft is minus it's tip, this is so it can be pushed through the loader, this does make it a bit slow to load, but that's a small price to pay for the absolute ease of loading. Yes PASTOR, I am in the process of making one that "load,s from the side", but I wanted to show all of you the device, "now". You'll also notice, I've "bent", the handle, it was too short & uncomfortable, the "Ergonomics" weren't right, (for me) & it was at the "Wrong Angle".To replace it's strength, I filled it with "Fiber Glass" filler. Also, it was, quite, "Slippery", so, I put a piece of inner tube on it . It fit's my hand perfectly now, & doesn't "Slip", & the change of angle?, much better!.
I put a "Handle", from an, "Electric Drill", onto the "Barrel", it's now, so much easier, & faster, to change the direction of the gun, &, less tiering!.It also helps "lesson", the "recoil".
Any question's, just ask.
A final note. These pic's, are simply to show every one, my solution to the problem of loading a, "Big" gun. You may want to build one yourself, but understand, that if (by using it) you damage anything, injure yourself, or, anybody else, I cannot be held responsible, or liable, for any such damage, or injury. This device is safe, if constructed from a "heavy duty" type of clamp, or mastic gun, not the "Cheep, & cheerful" type that cost a couple of quid!. Also, never, ever, half load the gun, (on land) leaving the device, "under tension", for a prolonged period. Also, & this is important, make sure that the spear shaft is long enough, so that, when it, "click's" home, on the trigger catch, in the gun, it still has 10 mm, or so, to go "BEFORE", it passes the "locking catch", on the back of the loader.
Just use your common sense, & remember, you are messing with a lethal weapon!. If you're not sure of any thing, mail me.....Keep safe,..Geoff.
