Hello all, I'm getting the last pieces of my equipment together for my trip to the Florida Keys in a few weeks, and I thought I'd post what I came up with for a dive knife. I did a little hunting around on Google, and I found that for under ~$30, the best dive knife would be any old stainless steel knife that you just have to be extra careful to rinse and clean after having it in the water.
Since I'm cheap (and already had one of these that I never use) here's what I'm using:
I like to call it a "dollar-knife" because you used to be able to pick it up at any Walmart in the US for $1, but now it's $2... but "two-dollar-knife" doesn't sound as good so I've just kept calling it a dollarknife.
It's cheap, stainless steel, and has half scalloped (round) serration.
What do you guys think? I'm not looking for something to kill great white sharks with, just cut myself out of seaweed or fishing line if I had to... although if anything did try to eat me, I'd give it a run for its money
