Fields of Vision - mask comparison

Hi Eric.

To ged rid of the fogging, have you tried with some more toothpaste and some more rubbing and some more rubbing and some more rubbing and.....? :D

The upwards field on the SuperOccio must be really good, because I can't even see the upper part of the frame on the Sphera (which i primarily use). Maybe It´s due to the fact that my great grand father was half neandertaler...? rofl

I'm currently testing this "devil" which also has a nice low volume and an excellent up and downwards field of view, but unfortunally I haven't got access to a pool with tiles for a comparable test.

Very best regards
H!

Thanks Herup,

I did count the tiles carefully, but I think I made an error with the placement of the rectangle. I think like you said it should be where you said it should be; on par with the other upper edges.

I've just corrected it!

Good one, thanks!

the flow mask is from SOMMAP, france.... mind you it isnt an original design its an OEm ask from china.

i found the manufactuers in China recently and they make the mask in any colour configuration you want, however minimum order quantities are 1000 units and a minimum order from their range of US$20,000. so not sure what to do yet, have a couple of samples coming in Black silicone with clear lens. and will go from there

Thanks Björn!

Well a cool project to alter and improve their design, and beat the Sphera?

`The Björn Mask` sounds cool doesn´t it?

I would love to help out in your project.

hahahahahahhah!

if i do it it'll be under the 1Breath label i am working on for clothing at the moment.

have a printer and designer and we have got a bunch of designs for Tshiirts. hooded jumpers etc. once i have some good quality samples (about 2 weeks) i'll post some pics for DeeperBlue opinion..... should be interesting! hahahaha

Eric - if you read this - the Mystic is very close to the micro in view and volume - but as comfortable or more than the alien.

I've mastered the art of sphera repair :) There are two ways - Silicone calk and silicone grease - both see to work. Of course I'm highly motivated because most of my spheras correct my vision underwater.

kars:
i like how you tested these masks bro, great job. visual examples are great for thick peeps like me :)

what is needed now is testing on spearguns(most used types) with any band/ shaft changes, that are as visual as ur mask test.

Eric use the lighter trick on the mask, clean with toothpaste, then and this is the most important part, use johnson&johnson baby shampoo in your mask bucket before diving, small amount with water, you will never fog and it does not affect your eyes at all, best trick for spearo's.
