Fin Choice

Hi Guys,

I am a beginner freediver, but an experienced Diver. I want to get into freediving as i have a job in the Azores. My current choice with my budget is between the Cressi Gara 3000 ld/ Beuchat Mundial Sports Fin & Mares Razor Pros. Please can anyone help? Thank You

Hey Chris, Good choice of sport. You're also lucky, in that one of the top freediving and yoga instructors in the game happens to live in the Azores. Go to the Apnea Academy website and find Raoul Arena Pizarro's contact details under the INSTRUCTORS link. Get hold of him and he'll help you with everything you could possibly need to know. Hi Chris,
You might want to try posting your question in the appropriate gear section (freediving/spearfishing) of the forum. Those all sound like viable options (for spearfishing at least). I like my Beuchat foots pockets - supposed to be good for slim feet and my are the opposite of that! If I recall correctly(?), the Cressi 3000 LD fin blade is permanently moulded to the footpocket - but others might correct me on that. Omersub fins/footpockets seem fairly popular too. Seacsub offer some good looking but inexpensive options (haven't tried them but their masks are quite good).
