I’ve been a loyal Scubapro Definition user for years, but as an instructor, I’ve found the neoprene tends to compress a bit too fast with daily professional use. I’ve been looking to upgrade to the Waterproof W7 for the better thermal seals and that 3D anatomical fit.
The biggest challenge was actually finding one. I’m currently based in Belyounech, Morocco, and it is almost impossible to find large-size wetsuits in this region—most shops only carry smaller stock. I got incredibly lucky and found that Chems Diving (chemsdiving.com) right here in Belyounech actually stocks a full range of sizes, including the bigger W7s.
For those who have moved from Scubapro to the W7: how did you find the break-in period? It feels much "stiffer" than the Scubapro right now, but the warmth is already on another level. Does the 2.0 neck seal soften up significantly after a few dozen dives?
