Hello! I was trying a pair of cressi modulars and my foot is normally 45. 42/43 fits well on bare foot and has enough room for thin socks but with socks heel lifts out when I bend the foot. Will size up help or I need to find some fins with higher heelcap?

You could always use fin-keepers to make a lose foot pocket fit more stable, but I would suggest to try more foot pockets first. Different brands too. I ended up with Leaderfins blades, not because of the blades but because the best fitting foot pocket for me is the Pathos, which comes without blade.

Yes, thicker socks will make a difference.

But 42/43 is a lot different to 45. Alarm bells are ringing.

My fairly wide, stocky feet fit 45-46 Beuchat footpockets remarkably well for my needs - 45-45.5 is normally a good shoes size for me in street shoes, 46 for wellies and mountain boots to accommodate thick socks. On very warm days my feet swell and they fit great without socks, on cold days my feet shrink and I can wear thicker socks. Normally they fit well with whatever my current socks are - usually 3-5mm I think.
